Malatya Turgut Özal University Library and Documentation Department began its operations with the establishment of “Malatya Turgut Özal University” in Malatya, in accordance with Additional Article 181 of Law No. 7141, which was adopted on May 9, 2018, and published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30424.In line with a modern information services approach, the Department makes its collection consisting of print and electronic resources available to users by acquiring, organizing, and providing access to information resources.With this vision:

• Developing print and electronic collections and making them available to users,
• Conducting planning, coordination, and supervision activities to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of library services,
• Providing access to electronic information resources,
• Strengthening interlibrary cooperation and supporting information and document sharing,
• Ensuring the sustainability of library services,

are the primary objectives of our unit.
